After setting up my daughters FOWLER that she wanted for Xmas, I had some left over live rock. We had purchased a couple of used 20 gallon tanks off of Craig's List to use as Quarantine tanks, and after her fish made it to her DT, were sitting in the basement calling out to me. So I decided to start up a nano tank.

The only equipment involved is a HOB filter that came with the tanks off of CL, a Koralia Nano 425 power head, and an Ecoxotic PAR 38 bulb in a Lowes drop light fixture.

It has been up and running for about 3 months now and the corals have called it home for about a month. So far everything seems happy and healthy.

Mr Hermit - he was sold as a Halloween hermit at a LFS, but from the looks of other HAlloween hermits online, I don't think he is.

Cool looking tank.

I'm still up in the air on a bare bottom but your has a nice look to it.

What are some of the other corals in there? A chalice off to the right?

Also, did you pain the back of the tank?

The other 2 corals are a red branching Blasto Welsi and a CE exotic christmas chalice. I'll post pics of those this evening. The Blasto doesn't have near the red color that is did in the photo online. I'm thinking it is the difference in lighting.

The back of the tank is not painted. I know it makes everything look better, but I just haven't done it yet.
