Also.... Heater recs? Husband has an extra unused inkbird from brewing so that's handled. Never needed a heater cause the equipment always kept it warm enough. This tank is getting cold!

I am a fan of Eheim heaters or Finnex Titanium, if space saving is needed.
Plenty of space in the sump, so long as they can be stored horizontally? I know some brands specifically cannot..

Eheim can, but I still like to put them at an angle, so the head is just out of the water. I change my heaters once a year, but stil have most of my old ones and they work just fine. Even the ones that were completely submerged.

Eheim ,shut down on malfunction, was lifetime replacement,but hearing only 3 yr now??.
but still you just need to send them a pic of heater/ cord cut off,they just send new one.

Plan was to not even keep it in the tank except the few cooler months of the year, too many heater horror stories. 4 years of reefing and this is the first time I've actually needed it. All my older tanks were kept warm enough with equipment, and ran on the higher end of the temp gradient... First winter with the cade.
