This is my new Biocube 32, the cycle start about a week ago (did it with turbo start) I’m thinking if all parameters are good I’ll buy a gladiator clownfish and a mini CUC.

Chambers 1 include a coralife protein skimmer and a colbolt heater

Chamber 2 include a in tank media basket along with a in tank fuge

Chamber 3 include a UV sterilizer and a temp probe coming from my ink bird (will be getting a ATO next week)

What do you guys think of my aquascape (yes I can clean all sides of windows with ease)

Thanks for looking, any tips will be appreciated because this is my first reef tank!

Nice rock scaping! Was that dry rock or live rock? If you decide to go the route of adding an anemone for the Gladiator, heed the advice that you will hear all over regards waiting a good 1/2 year, better full year before adding the 'nem. Welcome to the hobby!

It was dry rock with a piece coming from the lfs that was in there system. I definitely will be taking my time before I add an anemone so that it lives a very happy life.

I definitely love how it looks topless but I also like the look of the top on it as well. Will you be removing the black trim on the top too?
No, am going to leave the trim. I really want to get the tank easier to work on. Right now when we try to work on it, we get our face blasted with light and the tank is very dark. I also heard of Steves LEDs increasing heat.

If it’s the new LED biocube you don’t need the upgrade. I grow literally anything I want in mine
My LPS all started craving more light, and I can’t stand how white the stock LEDS are with all 3 channels running, so I upgraded to STEVES... my 1 frag of SPS also browned then bleached under stock lights. Currently trying to rejuvenate it.

Nice scape!!!

How are you liking the skimmer? I had to set mine at almost no air intake, to get the micro bubbles down.

Thanks for sharing!

My hammer and candy canes are going crazy under my stock LEDs. My candy cane has gone from two heads to ten in six months. I’ve had my hammer three months and it’s already grown a second head.

Every tanks different I suppose... my corals seem much happier and vibrant under the Steve’s LED :) I did have growth similar to yours. Several new Duncan heads and also a doubled up hammer under the stock lights but having better luck now.

I’m glad you’re having success with the stock lights!

I haven’t tried sps. How did they do under the stocks? Everything I have (zoa and LPS) are growing like crazy. Only thing I can’t seem to get to spread like wildfire is GSP lol.
