My new PET

I have been wanting a snake for a while now. What I had my sites on was a milk snake. We had a reptile show this weekend that had so many snakes to choose from but while I was looking to pick out a sinaloan milk I came across this beautiful California King. Had to get'em!

nice snake man. and its true once you have 1 you always get more. i've kept corn snakes for a long time and then went over to reefing lol. i do miss my snakes tho

Awesome! Im in Virginia so I couldnt imagine finding something this pretty of a snake in the wild. Where are you from and what type of habitat are you finding these guys in?

Very cool king snake! I've always had a crazy idea of building a snake cage over a reef tank. I think it would be an awesome contrast.

I had a Pueblan milksnake that just died. She was 18 years old.

I'm from Napa California. We have alot of mountains and rocky habitat that kingsnakes love. There's also alot of fields and grassy areas that they like as well. However its getting alot harder to find them. I'll post a picture of the mountain kingsnake that I just found on mount st. helena tomorrow morning. It's a really unbelievable snake and very, very hard to find in the wild. I just have to scan the photo I have its not on my computer and I'm tired. Cool thread by the way
