Hi guys,

I decided I would go ahead and share my tank with you guys as well as a little background. So for my background, I started off first with FW and FW planted/shrimp specific tanks. From there I gradually became interested in SW 2009ish. First starting off with a 34gal Solana and quickly upgrading to a 120gal tank. After a couple of years it was time to move, and with no plans of staying anywhere for a long period of time I figured it was time to sell the tank and get out of the hobby for a bit to avoid lugging all that around. Fast forward to a year ago, I re entered the hobby with a 45gal Reef Savvy Cube. I loved the tank, but I really wanted more space in the sump department. From going to the LFS I really fell in love with the red sea reefer series. I liked how clean they looked, how quiet they were, and that it left me the decision for lighting and circulation. Just enough freedom to tweak it to my liking. I just finished moving everything over to the new tank roughly 2 weeks ago. Here are the specs:

Tank: Red Sea Reefer 250 w/ black stand
Return: Vectra M1
Circulation: Vortech MP40qd
Lighting: Radion XR30 Pro w/ wide angle lenses
Skimmer: RLSS R6i
ATO: Tunze 3155
ATO Reservoir: Bashsea SS-10 (In the mail!)
UV Sterilizer: Emperor Aquatics 25 watt ( have to set up)
Bio Filtration: Marine Pure Bio sphere
Reactors: Avast Marine Spyglass Small ( in the mail)

I also received all my hard plumping parts in order to set up a manifold, I originally just plumbed the tank with the green hose it came with. I will be switching this out to the manifold soon so that it can feed the UV sterilizer. I also plan on drilling the ATO tank that it originally came with and placing my Marinepure balls in there and maybe some cheato for a refugium.

As of now the tank is fishless, all my fish in my last tank perished. It looked like ich but they started dropping only after 2 days of seeing any signs, so that leads me to think it may have been velvet. I took them out of the tank and attempted the TTT but they were all dead before the first transfer. So this will be fishless for the next month and a half. For corals, I have been keeping zoos and LPS for the most part. I look forward to attempting some SPS pieces soon, but I did not have any luck when I first tried.

Let me know what you think! I look forward to sharing the tank with all of you!
