A mysterious creature showed up in my tank, at first I just assumed it was a baby snail but I feel like I should probably figure out what it is before I end up with a surprise nudibranch or an outbreak of flatworms.

Nothing has been added in a while. Frogspawn, Toadstool, Zoas, Rhodactis and Ricordea are the only things present in this tank.

I would try with the whites but its much less visible and there is more detail under blues. The last thing added came from an extremely Acropora heavy tank if they have any potential hitchhikers. flat2.jpg

It does look like its possible, I tried really hard to get a photo of the other side but its a nightmare so far. Looks like it has some kind of coloration, potentially shell like. There is a chance I did have some cross contamination with a tank that had Astraea, Limpets and Conch snails. The exposure one of my mushrooms had was minimal while I prepared for transit but maybe it hid under the rock my rhodactis was on, found its way into my tank and it took me a week to notice it.
