I had only seen pics of juveniles before with this pattern showing, it will be interesting to watch it grow as it will change shape and colour, it's very cute! ;)

Talk to me about your substrate. It looks like tiny rubble. What is it?

I don't remember what it is now but yes a fine sort of gravel, due to the previous tank leak it was what they had in at the time, I saved most of the original sandbed so there is about a half inch or so of that and then about 3/4 of an inch of the new stuff.
