I recently lost my Midas Blenny (still pretty crushed about it) and am looking to replace it with a new fish, problem is that the other two fish in the tank are a mated pair of fairly aggressive darwin clownfish.

I am looking for suggestions as to a possible new third fish. I have a Red Sear Reefer Nano, so please understand the display tank is only 21 gallons.

My initial thought was a six-line wrasse, but would love to hear any clever suggestions.

Thanks!

A strawberry dottyback does well as it keeps it ground against other fish and nice to look at. I have one in my tank and it’s fun to watch swimming around and moving sand from one end of the tank to the other then back again.

Six Line Wrasse could probably hold its own against the Clownfish. Usually people say they get too aggressive in smaller tanks, but in your case that may be a plus for the new addition. In a tank that size though you may want to consider having the clowns only.
