Alright so i’m planning to put in a reef aquarium and one fish im set on getting is a Naso tang. In the area circled, i have 6 foot long 2 foot wide and however high i want. Is this long enough? i’ve heard nasos are much happier in 8 foot long aquariums. In that case i’d have to find a new area

It is true that ultimately 8' would be better. Naso tangs get BIG..
I have mine, a female, in my 8' 240 and she seems happy as a captive fish can be. She hasn't grown exponentially in the 6 years I have had her, but I know eventually, she will need a new home.
Food for thought

I have four tangs in the tank currently, the naso is the one that likes to swim.
I have an 8 x 3 x 2 planned just for when it grows.

6' will be fine for a while; then 8' will be fine for a while. I have kept larger naso genus tangs in my current 450. My N. Liturgis (which is what I assume the OP means) is fine at about 9", but a N. Valmingi at almost 14" was too large even for my tank.

Wow, A fish like the Naso should be privately sold and heavily regulated to get because I've seen so many people impulse buy them without a tank of that calibre.

Maybe not regulated but should be a special order. There is a long list of fish that are that category.
