New home even in an 8’? holyIt is true that ultimately 8' would be better. Naso tangs get BIG..
I have mine, a female, in my 8' 240 and she seems happy as a captive fish can be. She hasn't grown exponentially in the 6 years I have had her, but I know eventually, she will need a new home.
Food for thought
Wow, A fish like the Naso should be privately sold and heavily regulated to get because I've seen so many people impulse buy them without a tank of that calibre.6' will be fine for a while; then 8' will be fine for a while. I have kept larger naso genus tangs in my current 450. My N. Liturgis (which is what I assume the OP means) is fine at about 9", but a N. Valmingi at almost 14" was too large even for my tank.
Ya you should have to show proof your ready to care for the fish properly before they just hand it over to you.Maybe not regulated but should be a special order. There is a long list of fish that are that category.
