Both Potters went into the tank just about a week ago.
Purchased from a very reputable person recommended here on Reef to Reef.
They were quarantined by him and all has been good so far.
Aside from the snails they were the only inhabitants until Sunday when I added two Peppermint shrimp.
But he was starting to bloat or get fat before the shrimp.
To my knowledge they were both quarantined together in a 20G for several weeks, before I received them.
My tank is a 150G, yes the bigger guy chases but I have not seen him nipping.
He hides more than the big guy but I have rarely seem that one eat.
He does come out at feeding time, but I think I have only seen him eat one time.
Believe it or not I’m going to say he’s getting stressed from his own reflection. If you watch he comes up looks at himself then drops down again a couple times then swims off and comes back to do it again. I’m hoping this is the cause and Hess not sick but I’ve seen a Tomini Tang do something similar and it stopped after he settled in around two weeks or so.
He does look a little bloated but if you notice the big one is right behind him at the end. Fingers crossed.
I’m not sure about the bloating if this is part of the problem or not hopefully someone will have a suggestion for that.
The smaller one definitely has something going on, you can tell by the faded colors that it is stressed. Often, the most aggression happens in the evening hours after lights go off and no one is watching...
