I need help IDing what's growing on my GSP. It's a smiley clear thing that appears to be growing or attached to my GSP. I noticed because my GSP wasn't opened all the way and it hasn't been open all the way yesterday or today . Any help would be great. Should I dip it in coral rx to see if it comes off? Sorry for such bad pictures best I could do

A little hard for me to tell from your photos but they look like pineapple sponges. if they are then they're fine unless they start to irritate your corals. do a web search and compare photos just to be sure.

Some look more fuzzy than others and they can appear in different shapes. are your hard to the touch? or spongy?

It appears to be spongy from the looks of it. When I did touch it earlier it was kinda flimsy. I just left to go to the store when I get home in about 20 minutes I'll check again and pay more attention

My GSP still hasn't opened back up.. I've dipped him in coral rx. I'm thinking maybe my hammer might have made mad. Maybe that is why it's not open? Any thoughts in completely at a loss

Ive never had gsp but I know when I did a coral rx dip, it usually took my coral about a week or a little under to be "happy" again

Ive dipped zoas-palys, those take a little more effort to bounce back from what Ive experienced.
But Ive also heard that GSP is a verrrrry sensitive coral.

This is the first time I have run into any problems with GSP, haven't had any problems in the few months but that doesn't say much. Hope it bounces back
