This orange Algae started growing and sprouting and bubbling all over my sand and now it’s almost everywhere.

My protein skimmer it picking it up and starting to fill with the nice orange gunk.

What is it and how do I clean/treat it.

Also on this same subject what is the best tool out there for cleaning sand?

Please help.

This looks like dinos.

How old is your tank? What are your water parameters like? Lighting and flow? List of inhabitants?

Yeah, that's what I was thinking too. Does the issue disappear when you turn the lights off, then come back when lights go on?
