I bought this anemone from a local hobbyist on sunday. When I got to his house he already got the anemone in the bag so I didnt get to see how it was doing when it was in his tank. I trusted the guy told me it was fine and everything. Surely it wasn't, its mouth is open outward and the tentacles are really short. I only stay 5 min from this person houses so it shouldnt be that stress out right? Does it look like it is splitting? Its base is on two different rocks and some white stringy thing is coming out of its base too. Please let me know how can I get him back to health. Thank you.

It all depends on how the other guy removed the anemone. A healthy anemone could get stressed out by some one tearing it try to remove it. Keep an eye on it. It being secured to the rock it a good sign, but still watch it.

I dont have a clue how he got it out. Thanks for your reply.

What type is the anemone? It appears to be a bta, but I may be wrong.

Just keep an eye on it. It may take a walk and try to relax. Good luck

Thanks. Its been there since the pass two day now. Hopefully it is stress out and splitting.
