So I was wondering what kind of light i would need for my 20g long tank. I want to put some ruse bulb and carpet anemones in it. Also I would really like to put some polyps, mushrooms, Xenia corals, and some frogspawn. Also what would be some good beginner corals. I've have saltwater tanks now for 2 years and done great, just got the 20g long and wanted to turn it into a reef setup. What are good lights I should go with and what kind of like wattage would I need to get those corals going strong?

I would advice you to not go with anemones in a new tank. It is possible to have no problems with it. I would suggest T5's for that. I have a 28 bow and I have a two bulb fixture. I am thinking of adding more light to it. So maybe 4 bulbs that can has two switches so you can turn two on at a time.

would also advise against the carpet nem as most can get very large and may harm you corals

Nothing good comes from super cheap lights and nem's. Spend the money on the right equipment or pass on raising nems because they are difficult creatures to raise especially in a mixed reef tank that small. Most people wont do nems in anything less than 90g if they are housing other coral. They will get up in walk around to find an optimum spot in your small tank thus stinging and killing anything in its path. Just an FYI.
