I just purchased a SLX for my reefkeeper lite. I went to update the firmware through my reef 2.0 build 82 (latest version) I got incorrect checksum in the verify phase.

I read on a thread in order to fix that to do the update again and in the middle of the update to unplug the SID from the computer and then redo the firmware update.

When I did that and reconnected it the SLX is now showing up as a PK1. I do not see how to change the module back to SLX. So because of this I am unable to update the firmware.

Any ideas on what to do is really appreciated. DA tech support will not be back until Monday.

Thanks
Randy

After 8 hours of aggravation finally got the right combination to get it to work

What I did was force an update to SL2 then I was able to change it to SLX. Then rename the firmware hex file, get a new one and applied that. Last step was to do a factory reset on everything

The interrupted update should have worked. Not sure why it gave you troubles. lad you got it sorted out though.

I fin d that the best way to do the interrupted update is to NOT unplug the SID from your computer but unplug the device from the SID.

That may be where I went wrong. If this happens again I will try what you suggested.

Thanks
