Need lighting help!

Hello!

I'm currently upgrading from a 29ga biocube to a JBJ 45ga ... I'm looking into getting the ocean revive t247 lights with the mounting kit.

Does anyone have any other suggestions around that price range? I don't want to spend more than 250.

I also don't want to hang from the ceiling so a light that comes with a mount would be great! Thanks in advance !

thats a very good choice, esp in that price range. the other would be sbreeflights.

I'm also thinking about using the mounting kit it comes with which is 8 inch in height .. Do you think I will have any problem?

probably not. just check when you get it that you have good coverage and spread over the entire tank.
if its too spot lightey :rolleyes:, you may wan to raise it some how, sorry.
I like to do google image searches, t247 jbj 45. those pics should give you an idea of what it will be like.

I went with a 16" sb over my 20x20 cube, but pulled most of the lenses for better spread (im a nut job though) instead of raising the light, because it would have been at 16" above the tank for imo "perfect" coverage.
