Im considering selling my 2 clowns and nem. My wife wants a colorful tang, so id like to get a few more fish that are 1. compatible and 2. Just as colorful or some kind of unique scale patterns.

I have a biocube 32 with about 10 snails (various sizes/types) 8 hermits, 2 peppermint shrimp, a fire shrimp and a sand sifting starfish.

Most people will advise against adding a tang to a small tank. I think hippo/blue tangs may be an exception. But tangs swim around grazing all day and will most likely bully other fish.

I would consider a pygmy angel (I have a coral beauty) or maybe a wrasse. Both are very colorful and active in the tank. There is a possibility the Angel could nip corals if you go that route later on, but mine has been a model citizen.

Oh she won't like this but im not buying a fish that wont be happy

I gotta agree about the tangs. Maybe just adding something special like a bi-colored blenny. They add a lot of color and have a lot of personality.

I'm not the tang police, as they are called, but I'm afraid this tank is far too small to accommodate a tang. Some good alternatives are listed above such as small wrasses and blennies. You could consider firefish/dartfish, gobies, damsels (the more peaceful ones), perhaps a hawkfish.

Don't put a tang in a tank that size, or you'll have the Tang SWAT busting in your door before you know it.

I have a 32 Bio Cube , Fire Fish , Scooter Blennies , Mandarins are nice

I haven’t added them yet but looking into getting them
Oh ok, i do like the way they look but I've been reading that they can be aggressive towards other fish and even eat/attack some cuc i believe

What? An aggressive mandy? Every mandy I've ever owned minds it's own buisness. They have a tiny little mouth thats like a sucker, no idea how they could even be aggressive.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I;ve never owned or read about an aggressive mandy. Sure were talking the same fish?

Cool cool, that one is on my list then for sure... i have 2 clowns right now and the female is horrible.. if i wanted to be attacked when my hands in the tank, i would have built a predator tank lol
