Neltel_7’s 3 in one sump build thread. Sump,refugium and cryptic zone

Hello everyone I started this process last week but thought it would be a good idea to document my sump build for my 100 gallon reef. It was previously running a canister filter which broke so I’m building a sump to replace it. Here are some pics of the progress I’ve made so far.


this is my esshops pf 800 that I got for 60 bucks on OfferUp
i also am waiting for a few packages of equipment, including my jebao dcp return pump.

I also got this grow light for cheato, it’s really bright haha almost blinded myself when I turned it on lol

I am using this 10 gallon tank and these two 5 gallon buckets so I can have a section for my protein skimmer and return pump (in the 10 gallon), a refugium in one bucket, and a cryptic zone in the other. Both the refugium and cryptic zone will be feed by the return pump and overflow back into the sump
