Hello,

I have 3 rainbow BTA and I introduced a baby black widow, will they all get along?

hi nope widow is going to sting others hence name is more toxic than most ,you have beautiful nems ,keep em seperated

That's going to be pretty tough, it's a 10 gallon.... can they coexist in the same tank if i keep them on different rocks islands?

they move very risky

I am pretty bummed! Thanks for your input...
sorry nems too nice to risk, get a isolation box that hangs on tank keep widow in there plenty light/flow up top will love it

The jury is still out on this. Some people experience issues, others don't.

The issue at hand is allelopathy, which is chemical warfare. If this is happening between BTAs, we don't know how it works -- so we don't know at what distance it becomes ineffective. In other words, placing your widow in a separate box in the same tank may not make a difference. Using carbon is a good

The only way to know for sure is to try it out. You'll see gradual affects, so keep a close eye on all of the nems. If you catch it in time, you'll be able separate the nems (into separate tanks) and the ones affected should be able to recover.

I've never heard black widows are more "toxic" than any other bta. They are named as such because of the webbing, not the sting as far as I know.
