What are you all using for aftermarket pH probes on your Apex?

I want to get a backup for my Neptune brand probe but I want to go aftermarket if it makes sense.

If you’re using another brand…

How long have you had it?
How often do you need to calibrate?
How much was it?

No reason to buy a backup. PH isn’t that important and shouldn’t fluctuate enough to matter in the short time it takes to order and get a new one. They also go bad in storage so just wait.

But Milwaukee are fine. Or BRS. I’ve used them all over the years. I only ever calibrate when I see unexpected results. Which is rare.

Wait until you NEED to replace it. Don’t have one sitting in a cabinet. You’d just be wasting money.

Any PH probe with a BNC connector should work. I have been using the pinpoint it seems to work fine.
Of topic question. When you calibrated pinpoint with your apex did you get exactly 10.01 and 7.01 or was it slightly off when calibrating

The reason I ask is I have a new Neptune Probe and can never get it to calibrate exactly on those numbers. I am not sure if it is supposed to calibrate exactly or can be off by a very little bit. Want to know your experience with pinpoint

Are you talking about when it is “settling” or after you calibrate and dip it back into the solution to double check?

Range of error I believe is 0.05
