I Love new tech but can't see selling my old Apex and spending almost $1600 for something that test my water which takes like 20 minutes to manually.

I am a apex user and at MACNA today. I have both apex 2016 and classic. They did say it will only work with 2016 model. I agree about it does not take much time to test for these parameters. But precision is where this will blow all other tests out of the water. Do not quote me on this but I believe it was accuracy
DKH- 0.05
CA- 10ppm
Mag- 10ppm

This would be a great tool for me as I travel a lot for my work and I would be able to adjust accordingly.

I agree with you,but the point automation of a system like this is consistency and automation.

Do you have the time/energy/effort to check those parameters multiple times and day?

I think the sticking point here for myself and many folks is none of us like the idea of going out and having to spend $800 on a new system every 5 years because their latest and greatest toys won't work with their older stuff. If the initial system cost wasn't so high, it would be one thing, but the price of entry into the automation market is a premium that many people plan for and plan to only have to do once. This changes that in regards to Neptune and it doesn't surprise me many people are sour on the idea.
