So does anyone have a cover over their rimless tank?

Please share info!

not yet but i have been contemplating the idea.... im thinking some clips like the solana has for the glass lid with the normal window screen frame and clear mesh top..... i was gonna glue 4 tiny blocks in my new tank but i hate to deface the display im gonna make them hang on the top edge and recess down like 3/4" where the frame sits just below the top rim still gonna be a eye soar but not as bad as sitting on top....

I've seen a few people that have siliconed in small glass tabs in the corners just below the rim for a piece of screen framing to rest on. Not the cleanest look in the world, but functional and you don't really notice them unless you're right in front of the tank looking for them.

See I don't mind having something in there and then just removing it when someone comes over. Just want to do it the cleanest way.

The guy you need is acroholic...he sells the acrylic netting on this site, because he got a huge bulk ammount to make his own cover.

He has it on a rimless, and on a "standard" tank.

It looks pretty sleek, he has build threads for them, and a sale thread. Hopefully he will chime in or you will be able to find his thread.

I believe Ian from ReefOdyssey built a real nice one for his tank. You might want to pm him Rev.

ADA tanks come with metal clips for the rim of the tanks. It allows you to inset a piece of glass on the top of the tank. You could probably make something similar to inset a window frame w/netting.

The link for my mesh top build thread is in my signature below. A mesh top on a rimless tank does nothing for the looks of it, but it will keep your expensive fish from jumping out.

A local reefer that is not in the hobby anymore had a custom acrylic rimless built for him and also had a mesh top built but they used acrylic for the frame. It looked really clean.
