New 250w SE MH Bulb

My Hamilton 20k bulb just fried and I was thinking of going with 14k’s instead.Running a reefbrite electronic 250 ballast. I will have a actinic bar for supplement. What brand would you choose or should I just stick with the Hamilton 20k?

I run the 250 watt mogul base 14K Hamiltons & really like how they look-very crisp blue white when driven on Icecap ballasts. I don't use any supplemental actinic lighting- just don't see the need as I get enough pop from the 14Ks. They get great reviews if you search online. HTH

The new Hamilton 20K was made to look like a 20k Radium. It is different than the one that Hamilton sold a year or two ago. Of course, I have no idea which one that you have had/have.

Their 14k is nice. The line from Giesemann is nice too... good crispness with some blue and purple color.

I’ve used Hamilton before & no complaints from my end. I’ve also used Ushio 20ks & those looked really sharp too.

I bought the 20k in December and I liked it but I also want to put some supplements in. so a little whiter light would work better for me but also not against getting the Hamilton 20k again
