Update. It attached. It was because the flow was too high.
As much as I love the pet store I buy from they kinda do stuff like that all the time they have really good prices but not the best knowledge except for the owner. He’s great.

Moving forward, I'd check here first before doing anything.

Nice! You got a pretty clean looking tank for 3 years!
Thank you! I did a lot wrong in the first 2 years. Bought the wrong fish and didn’t do my research. Now I’m taking my time. Getting a cleaning crew going first and getting one fish at a time and making sure they are compatible.
I had a snowflake eel for years but he recently passed and I had 3 GSPs and damsels and other fish that weren’t the best to have together. Lesson learned lol.

Yeah that’s gonna be my plan going forward. I think if this guy does great I would get maybe a bubble tip (a real one this time)
But this brings me to the question. What kinda fish can I stock in here now to won’t cause problems?

anything but anemone eating fish like triggers and puffers. lta sting isnt really strong enough to catch fish unless they were very unhealthy

The thing you have to remember about pet stores.... usually the owner is pretty knowledgeable, but you can't afford to keep a staff full of experts, so you hire people off the street and you do your best to train them, and hopefully you keep the ones that show an active interest and have a questioning attitude.

Even if they're running a maintenance business on the side, it's kind of a poor use of resources to keep the skilled labor on the floor instead of out at customer's houses.
