The post here is not so much about the tank and the system but questions about the process for moving the livestock from my 180 Gallon to my 300 Gallon Tank (They are separated by 38 miles/45 Minutes). The tank is has been installed and is up and cycling. I am currently at the two week point in the cycle. I am introducing extra live rock that has been cycling in my 180, but a good part of the new Aquascape will be new dry rock. The tank was setup with Live Sand as well. I am waiting to test the water till this weekend. I currently have in the 180 Gallon:

2 - Clown Fish Mated Pair
1 - Damsel
1 - Chromis
1 - Six Line Wrasse
1 - Starry Blennie
1 - Mandarin Goby
1 - Blue Hippo Tang
1 - Sailfin Tang

I am thinking I can move only hardiest of the fish this weekend - f the water test is ok. I would be doing the testing myself, but all of my water testing equipment is packed or in storage ( I just moved and well that is a different story). I would like to know which fish you think I can move to the new tank? and in what order when?) I also have a good amount of coral (Softies: Zoa, GSP, Mushrooms, maybe some paly's (They came in as hitchhikers).

Any thoughts?

Was it started with dry rock and tims/etc, then added live rock from the 180? Probably doesn't make THAT much difference in the end, the water tests are key here IMO Before moves.

but this sounds like a very good kick start to mostly a mini cycle, and assuming testing proves that then you're good.

Hippo and Mandarin seem to be last in my mind. Sailfin if established is hardy, and the others are all pretty hardy fish.

Update....The Move was completed months ago. Many Things Happened, but All Live Stock Made it and all are doing well. All my coral is thriving and reproducing, but my Zoa's don't seem to be as happy. I think it is the lighting. My wife really wanted more white light so she could see the natural colors of the fish, but I sacraficed the blue light, so I am trying to find a good happy medium. I have the AI Hydra 32. Does anybody have any Ideas.
