New DIY skimmer.

I bought this 3 foot tall skimmer ($15), no pump and plenty of cracks toward the bottom then cut off the bottom plate and cut off about 8" where the cracks were. Hooked an Octopus turbine needle wheel 3000 to it and some plumbing. Now to tweak it. Producing wet skimmate so far, but my bio-load is low to start with and the skimmer comes after the refugium. I think it should start stripping the water once it is broken in though.

looks good, hey you could put a silencer on that air hose cheap by using an old pill bottle.

with the neck on that baby you should be able to get it dry enough that dust comes out the top :p
