New DSLR first one ever..

So I literally just bought this bad boy for a great deal. This is my first DSLR. I wanted a good one to get some cool shots of my corals once my tank is up and running. So I'm still learning this thing so any tips will help. It's a Sony a77ii.

I got my first DSLR this christmas also. I already snapped some shots, but they come out nothing like the pics that I see on here. tried playing with the settings a bit but nothing. tagging along here , seeing what advice you get. I made my own thread, but no one seems to respond to me

Hopefully we get some info I know you need a macro lens which arnt cheap either but it takes great photos so far.
