NEW Filter socks / skimmer crazy

I need a tip guys, what can I do to stop my Skimmer going crazy when ever I use NEW filter socks?? Tks

Likely the socks is reducing the water level in the sump as water flow is somewhat slowed down. Assure sump water level is where its normally at.

Doesnt seems to be that the issue since it makes the skimmer overflow looks more of a biological issue more than pump pressure

The new socks have some surfactant or other chemical on them from manufacturing - it just needs to be rinsed off. I always get some subtle "soapy" bubbles when I rinse mine...

I’m going to leave them on RODI tonight and try in the morning, how that Sounds??

The Reef Diaper is another option. The filter elements do not require pre-rinsing and will not cause your skimmer to overflow. The flange assembly gets reused and the light weight filter element is disposable. Let me know if you have any questions.
