New fish ID help

Hi guys,

So I just started the hobby a while back, and my friend kindly gave me a couple fishes. I came to his house, selected some of them but had a hard time ID'ing this one. He didn't know the fish and said the lfs where he bought the fish from didn't know what type is it also. I thought it was some kind of a cardinal fish but it has a very different swimming style with banggai and pajama.

These are the best shot that I could get with my phone. Any clue?

Looks like a mix of a black and white snapper and a juvenile spotted drumfish. That's a tough one.

I'm going to go with black and white snapper.

I'm pretty confident it's a juvenile black and white snapper from the family Lutjanidae. Macolor Niger, I believe they get large.

oh my god, I just googled juvenile black and white snapper and they match. Better tell him then before it ate all his fishes thanks guys!
