Welcome to Reef2Reef!

One clown will become the dominate one and she'll grow larger than the other one.

Tanks can last 2-4 hours with no power depending on the bio load, some surprisingly longer but don't count on it. Best to be ready for 2-4 hours. Best option is to keep a generator on hand, second best would be a good battery back up, but at least pick up a battery powered air pump. Most can run for 12-24 hours and is hopefully all you need in most situations.

I have new 15 gallon tank with 2 clowns. I thought they were both males so grandchildren named them Nemo and Jeff. Thinking Jeff might to change pronoun and name to JeffRita. How can I tell? And how long can my tank survive if electricity goes out?
It is a pleasure to meet you. I think you'll dig it here. R2R is an amazing place. So Greetings and Welcome to out collective obsession!

This can add hours to a tank that size.

Welcome, glad you are here! I keep a battery powered aerator on hand and the old fashioned thermometer that sticks to the inside glass with a suction cup. Depending on the time of year I can put ice or warm water in a large ziplock freezer bag to float and control temperature.
