Yes. It seems like they are not meant to be taken apart at first. But by pulling the endcap out and back, the frame will bend far enough to allow the entire motor and impeller assembly to be removed. After that you can just slide the cages and impellers apart. I've done it a few times now trying to diagnose problems with some units.anyone knows how to take out and clean the blades in the new style gyre
