New hammer ques

Just added this hammer 5 mins ago. It was fully inflated at my lfs. Developed this white stringy stuff on transport. Is itjust slime from stress? Also it has maybe 5-6 little branches forming from the base. They are new heads?

The slime is from stress, I would either gently blow it off or if you have decent water flow it might take care of itself.
Those little bumps aren’t new heads, but I would let it go and see what happens. Usually they split where the skeleton meets flesh.

Its inflating nicely, i tried to gently blow away the slim but cant really get it off. Ill just let my flow handle it.
