Are u really going to put frags and refugium in the same section of your sump?

Very nice and thought out btw I love builds where every detail is thought out like this

I was planning on it but I decided to go with a separate frag system to qt.

And here it is....the tank is in!! So I did find my first mistake when I measured for the opening I didn’t take into account for a lip on the bottom to cover the tank edge. So no biggie I’m going to just put a piece of quarter round to cover it. It will be painted the dark grey to match the wall. I’m going to cut the vent hole in hood and get it up there tonight as well

Ok I’m done for the night. Hood is up and fits great. So far this build is pretty amazing! Scraping the paint off the back glass is gonna be a real pain in the butt. I’ll be meeting with my buddy who has the laser cutter to get the final measurements for my sump and other acrylic components. @Fishfinder we will be getting the apex all setup and programmed. I also will be setting up the water station and start making water. Last picture is just a crappy strip light just to see the tank with light.

Coming together nicely!

Did you give any consideration to using a gel stripper on the black painted back panel before placing it on the stand? (Hey - that's a little bit of a tongue-twister... "black painted back panel")

Yes I’m going to try some sort of stripper as this dry scraping is for the birds!!

Ok so paint is off the back glass. Looks crappy when it’s dry from the coraline algae that was on there. When it’s wet you can’t see the markings on the glass. I ended up using a chemical that takes powder coat off and it worked like a champ for the paint. Really does look great and also found my icecap moon lights....had to throw them up to see how it looks. I’m extremely happy so far with the outcome. Can’t wait to get the acrylic cut and start building everything.

Wow great build. Love the fact the house is build around the house. Can’t wait to see it getting wet.

I’ll agree with it being really flat on top. Aquascape is probably the best part of the build. Or for the first 4-5 times. Lol
