BIGGER IS BETTER!!! LoL [emoji13]

Was thinking 70” x 34” x 30” tall. Right at 300gal
Bigger is always better... except a deuce and a 1/2 .... they just suck lol.
You'll have to build a new stand and canopy?? What about the wall opening ?

So the opening will be fine as I made it to fit the tank I have now to the edges. By doing this now if and when I decide to upgrade the new tank will sit 1 1/2” past the sides and 2” top and bottom. This will hide the water line up top, bracing and some sand edge on bottom and the corner joints on sides. With the tank now I will have some corner trim to hide some of this. I have planned everything even a future tank upgrade LoL!!

Ok now that ro/di system is completed and working perfectly on to another thing. I did more work on the frag/ work stand. I have a little “staycation” next week so I hope to get this completed. I know @Fishfinder is on my butt about getting the apex mounted and ran so he and I can program it. Also once the stand is done I can plumb and get water flowing in the frag system.

I’m STILL waiting to get my acrylic back to get the sump, ato, and reactors assembled. I have all the plumbing stuff needed, just need the sump LoL. I started building the manifold, and it is going to run UV, reactor, and have a spare in case I need to run carbon or something. I’m pulling all the rock out to put pvc board on the bottom of tank as well. I’m still debating on bare bottom or sand but at least I’ll have the option.

Also need to finish fans in hood a button it up. I’m going to make a stand type box on top to hide the wires in and clean it up a bit.

As for the stand I am using pvc board for the top as I will be using it as a work area as well. I’m building up a lip around the edge to keep any water up there and not drip to the underside of the stand. That section will also be able to be removed so I can have access to the equipment, water lines, and electrical. The wood panels that are to be the apex walls are going to be removable as well. They will be held by Velcro. I order a bunch of the round wire pass throughs. Just waiting for them to arrive.

@Fishfinder and i laid out the apex walls. The atk and carbon doser regulator cane in. The co tank and i have should last me like 12 years lol. Slowly getting this thing done, I just need more time in the day! I’m still waiting for the acrylic to be completed. I started also building the manifold and laying out the route for pvc.

Ok guys and gals let me know what you think about this layout....

I am assuming, and yes, I know what happens when we assume, that these layouts are "top up". If this is the case, I will suggest locating the DOS below anything electrical. Yeah, I know, they're not supposed to leak, or anything, but I prefer erring on the side of caution. Just a little FYI - liquids and electric generally do not play well together. (You just knew I had to throw a wise guy comment in!)
Also I’m thinking of painting the wire channels blue to match the color scheme of blue/ white. The wall is going to be white and the channels painted blue. Any thoughts concerns ?

No concerns but what paint will you be using and what other color(s) did you entertain?

Decided to keep them black as there is nothing on the apex that is blue and would only match up with the colors when stand doors are open.

Everything is blue/ white/ black.
