I got a new kamohara fr my 200l. It was right in the middle of the tank all day. Go away for an hour and can’t find him anywhere... looked around the tank, but it’s in a cluttered area so could easily go missing if jumped. Should I keep searching, or could it be hiding in the rocks? Didn’t think this species hid. Have a very loose fitting acrylic cover and the tank has 2 clowns and 2 orchid basslets.
Thankd

If you don't see it on the floor or in your overflows (if you have overflows) it is probably hiding in there somewhere, I would give it some time. Everytime I add a new Blenny they seem to go into hiding for a few days. I was missing 2 newly added scissor tails for almost a week before they made an appearance.

He was right in the middle of the tank and honestly I’m not sure there’s spaces big enough for him to hide in the rocks. How far around the tank should I check?

I have three of these guys and they have been out all over my 7' tank. Always out and swimming in the middle to top section. Super funny fish. They follow me up and down the tank.

However, I have lots of baby fish that are out and about too. All captive bred and very young. However, they can hide in plain sight at times.

I hope yours is still in the tank somewhere. Really cool fish. Especially in some blue light.

Yep he’s been spotted... no idea where he was hiding, honestly it’s impressive.
Good thing too really hard to come buy here and he’s a cool little guy.
What fish are having babies in you tank just like that?

No, no. Sorry. I had a crazy fish loss after my move of one 210g to my new 210g. About a month in, my fish were all just dying. Even after pulling and qt, they all just died except one pair of clowns. Never found what happened. Almost all were over 5 yrs old.

Anyway. Since I had to start over mostly, I decided to try mostly captive bred fish. I will get some that are not and they will go through my new qt protocol, but for now, all are captive bred. I just have been able to finally add fish as of Jan 16th, so all I have bought are captive bred babies. Some have not made it (tiny azure damsels - like 1/2" at most. Seriously tiny!). Dying within the day of arrival or DOA.

I currently have 5 baby bangaii cardinals, 3 Kamohara blennies, 3 lemon damsels, two snowflake clowns (ocellaris), 1 yellow watchman goby, 5 baby saddleback clowns, 4 azure damsels (one just went missing), maybe one splendid dottyback (still hiding I hope).

Ah right, sorry to hear about that.
I’m trying tank bred only aswell, except other side of the pond. Only been able to secure a pair of oscillaris, 2 orchids, a neon goby and the kamohara in about 8 months of searching and asking them to be ordered in. You guys have a seriously amazing selection of tank breds.

UK?
My husband is from Southeast London and parents currently in Kent area (Ashford closest large town).

We have great selection when available. I can get one here, or there, so lots of shipping expenses. But, at least we can get them.
