New Leopard wrasse.

Hello so i got a leopard wrasse Macropharyngodon negrosensis to add to my tank to help clean up some flat worms so i got it from the LFS that i go to we spoke i was told that this one was the only one that was eating and seemed very healthy. I took it home and it went straight to picking at things in my tank. I feed my tank 2-3 times a day its being housed with a fairy wrasse and purple fire fish very chill tank.when i feed it will maybe eat food passing by but hunting is its goal. How hard is it to get it to frozen. What should i look out for any info would

Should not be too hard, but negrosensis is on the more difficult side of leopards, generally speaking. I would introduce multiple foods to find what she will eat and keep introducing other foods with her favorite. If she won't eat prepared foods, try hatching baby brine shrimp and feeding that along with very small chopped mysis (SF Bay has them on the smaller side). Good luck!

Thank you for the input. I feel like i passes a few of the first hurdles. I was told she eat prepared but who know how true that is. I feed brine shrimp., ‘mysis, new life spectrum frozen and rods. I like the rods food because it has everything in it from micron size food larger chunks

Make sure you have sand in the tank. They dive into the sandbed to sleep...and when freaked out.

Yeah i have a pretty deep sand bed. I did research before I got it and it seems like a lot of the hurdles were already checked off before I picked it up.

Another thing - tank cover. I lost one to carpet surfing.

Its covered i have a another wrasse and a fire fish that tank is full of jumpers

Congrats! good info on here; just about to buy on at LFS but it just came in and had some fray on its fins and wasnt eating yet so waiting a few weeks
