Hi all, new to saltwater. Have had freshwater for years. Recently decided to start researching this hobby. I've been watching tons of videos, on a few facebook groups, reading books. Do not have a tank yet, but been looking at waterbox or may go with an evo 13.5 as a zoa garden. Not quite sure where I will go with it either so that will determine size as well. Until that time, doing research and have learned quite alot.
Welcome to reef2reef!!!

Welcome! Glad you joined. MACNA is in PA this coming September, so I'll be flying into your state for some great education!

Have you considered starting your build thread? I found its a great place to document my tank's evolution for myself. I started tank first then joined, so I'm still finding myself going back collecting pictures & updating historically as well as current state. Once you create your first post in your thread under Forum > Member Aquariums and link it to your account, they will give you build badge (look left, under my ID). I know you don't have a tank yet, but it sounds like you have plans already so its never to early once you have plans!

This might help you find people local to you in Emmaus PA:

This is a good reference book type online article I still review:

I do have a few ideas kicking around. Have thought about starting with an evo 13.5 then using that as a hospital/quarantine tank eventually. Then again, I may just get a waterbox cube instead. I have learned alot in the short time i've been watching/reading and learning from various sources. Just found a few fairly local youtubers since one just made a video going to Something fishy in Northhampton Pa. Thanks for info and welcomes!
