Hello fellow reefers,

I finally got my the fish I’ve always wanted the mystery wrasse. He looks healthy and was in an isolated tank quarantined by my local fish store. Would you guys use the acclimation box method with this wrasse or just drop them in? I fear the fish will get stressed and not make it 3 days in an isolation box so small. I also have a yellow tang a flame angelfish a midas blenny diamond goby and mandarin goby and royal gramma in a 85 gallon tank with lots of rock work.

thanks in advance!

White spots aren’t on the fish it just came with the food he was baited from the fish store.

You could put him in the box and see how others react for a few hours. Mystery wrasse are actually pretty aggressive themselves. I know my flame angel is NOT very nice to newcomers.

I am not sure how big your box is but wrasses always do fine in my acclimation box. I add some macro for them to hide behind.

I’m using the tanklimate acclimation box. I’ll put a pvc in there to help with the stress as well
