I am using these lights on a lowboy would love to talk to you about channel four. Seems too much to run it so high it's a spectrum not used so well same for channel one? I am running channel 2 and 3 at about 65% ramping other channel four at 15% channel one never breaks 5% what do you think about this spectrum @Oliver@DSunY

The functions of the 4 channels.
1, channel 1 : 8500K white to help simulate the nature Sun. (the tank looks by human eyes)
2, channel 2: moonlighting. (385nm-430nm Blue)
3, channel 3: coral grow (430-470nm blue)
4, channel 4: color adjust (470-500nm cyan blue)

the 470-500nm blue is not only for coral grow but also to make the tank looks "not dark blue, a little bright blue, like the sky after rain. " sorry, it is really hard for me to descrip a color by txt. :)
the color are different between Ch1+Ch3 and Ch4+Ch3 on the coral body .
Many friends really like Ch4 color.

From the picture, I see the brightness at the right part is much higher than left part and I think it is enough for coral grow. The color is also nice. When your coral bloom full the tank, I strongly suggest you try to increase the Ch4. you will see the difference.

I guess you mean the Ch2 "never breaks 5%". it is the best setting.

Seems the light hanged too high.Would please try to decrease 15-25cm and set the Ch1Ch3 30%-35% for energy saving.

Jobs80 may help you.

Hey buddy, I never did get my discount. Would like to apply it towards the extension cords.
Yes, I am happy to give you a 0.6meter extension cords FREE. if your address is not "remote area" for shipping postage servcie.

there are 2 ways
1, contact the agent who sale the light to you. And tell the " Reef2Reef, and will share my tank, FREE 0.6meter extension cords for RS controller. if question, mail Oliver"。
it is the most easy way. because they have your order and shipping information.
2, I will help you arrange a FREE cords. send your order and shipping information to [email protected]

Nice tank!

Hi There. How loud is the fan on this light? My current lights’ fan produces 52dB at 5cm and 40dB a meter away! (AppleWatch‘s noise app).
I need to find quiet lights or my partner will kick the tank out
I’d be grateful if an owner in this thread could test the Turing RS 90
I have three of the lights only tried two at the minute on my smaller tanks. Very strange one will turn the fans on when you set the light levels above a certain point on the brightness. The other, the fan stays on all the time, my over flow makes more noise than the fan. Its fairly quiet if that helps
i also have the red sea reef 90. its around the same nooise levels as that.

Hi. Thanks for the offer. I am going to email you today, my email address is huerta.michael@gmail.

Maybe instead of the extension, I can apply the 10% to a second controller? I'd like to have a bit more flexibility in my frag tank because someone just gave me a bunch of leathers not long ago and really I just wanted sps and zoa in this tank but now things are complicated with all these low light level corals.

I can say with certainty that the popbloom rs90 have more than enough light for corals in my application. The fellow who gave me the leathers was running hydra 26 @ 25% and I had to turn the popblooms rs90 down much lower than preset because these leathers did get a bit burned. After more than a week, the leathers have opened up again.

So, about 6 months running those lights. Everything is going well. The sps are thriving, some of the lps are a bit overwhelmed by the level of light but getting accustomed. Made some change in my rockwork to accomodate some more lps that I traded for my big myagi tort. Anyway, a frag I kept from it is quickly becoming a decent colony. finally was able to get rid of most of my BTA (thanks aptaisia x). Growth probably could have been better, but I am having issue trying to raise my calcium to ~420. Stuck a 360, whatever I do, it seems to go back to 360 by itself, but as long as the corals are good, I wont force things too much. So, since a picture is worth a thousand words, here are some pictures.

ok guys so I am finally setting mine up today and really struggling with the bracket. one big problem is that the bracket is impossible to set up if your tank is already against the wall. you would want to set up the bracket while your tank is empty because it tightens from the rear. the other problem is that the brackets just don't attach to the tank that well and I probably will not be able to use the brackets at all. here's a couple of pictures to show how crooked the bracket is. guessing I will have to build a breaker to hang the lights off which is arrange because the tank is in a temporary spot.
Hi I have just purchased an rs90 with bracket and after a bit of thought I’ve gone outside the box and screwed the bracket to the wall, then positioned the tank beneath, problem solved.

Here’s the photos what i did was measure 8” above tank put the bracket on the wall pushed a pencil through the bracket holes marking the wall. Insert a couple of wall plugs into the wall and screwed on the bracket, literally took me 5 minutes. 9A547E45-52AD-4B7D-913C-6BA6624A7606.jpeg 556C1587-59A4-4D30-929E-83ADB5396CF8.jpeg

Received my fixtures yesterday. Really happy with them. Corals opened right up under them. Could have got away with 2 over the Cade 1200 but 3 isn’t overkil

The controller is a little clunky and takes a little bit to figure it out, would be great to have an app for your phone but once you wrap your head around the controls it’s fully customisable and works great.

Overall I’m happy with the purchase, I got them on sale and got 3 lights for the price of one AI Hydra 32.

price 5/5
quality 4/5 if radions/ai etc is 5/5

Will report back once I’ve observed the corals with some time.

I got mine few days ago, but only now i got the time to try it.

What can i say, that wasn't sayed already...

Elegant, great looking, and the light is great. 130x62x60 tank, for now i ordered only two lights, but i will probably purchase another one, along with mounting arms and extension cords.... For now, i used plain shelf mount....

Controller is great, not complicated, with many options to adjust almost everything. Of course, some wifi and app connection, or option to connect controller to pc for easier programming will be great, but not necessary, even without consulting manual is very easy to adjust and program everything....

Only complain regarding controller will be power connector, it will be great that he is located on side or even better on bottom of the unit.

Power adapters runs very hot, maybe this is normal, but i will think some sort of cooling for them.

Unit is dead silent, i have very quiet setup, but i really cannot hear fans, so, this is great.

For now, i cannot say how corals behave under this lights, but i strongly believe that there will be no problems with any type of corals with this light.

Great product, great price, i tried various lights over the years, i cannot say this is THE best light on planet, but, if someone needs good looking, good built, powerfull and afordable light, this is very good choice.

Haved my doubts, but i take leap of fait....and i'm glad that i did.

Apologies for not so good pictures.

Ok, little question(s) for rs90 users....

Did you leave default light scheme, or did u program something.on your own?

Happy with default scheme, but, if theres way to tweak it little bit... Why not...

Another, lunar cycle.... Are u using it, i'm affraid that the light is too bright, when at 20-30%, if someone using it for longer time, id like to hear opinions and experiences with this feature..

Tnx!
