In short, similar product, with limited spectrum (in compare to red sea), but great par, still not bad and cheaper alternative.

Can someone explain little this ab+ spectrum setrings?
AB+ is all the blue's cranked up to the max and white at 20-25%.

From that test i got impression that ab+ is all channels to 100, and white chanel to 85?

If i set white channel to 25% its too dark in tank, maybe corals love that, but me...not so much.....

With a Radion G5 Pro, AB+ is all the blue's at 100% and the whites 25%.
If i mimick that color with a Kessil i come to the same outcome, all the blues maxed out and white around 25.

So i guess it shouldn't be that much different with the popbloom. AB+ is quite blue looking, if you crank the whites up to 100% it's definetely too white.

Maybe its just visual, but to my eyes, this light are to dim when white is set lower. Maybe the spectrum is better, better growth and corals, dont know....

Even the default programs sets white channel to 100%

Does anyone actualy run these light with white channel to 25%?

Ok, i decided to upgrade this lights with diy t5 fixture......

Plan is 4x54w t5 lamps, wich is probably little overkill for softies and lps corals, but.....

So, i figured to add ati lamps, for start, one purple plus and one actinic, to see how it looks with led blue channels at 100%, and 45% white channel....

Then later, maybe add two more, one coral+ and blue+.....

Can someone give me recomendations on lamp, is this plan for start good, or is there better way than actinic+purple?

Thanx!

should be more than enough. I am growing SPS like weed with 4 x rs90 and 2 x 80w (60") t5ho. Using ATI purple plus and aquablue special works really well for me.

I just got a pair of these and wanted to give some feedback. I can’t take really good pictures right now since I don’t have anything but my phone and these lights have a lot of blue in them.

This is my first light that isn’t a cheap pet store light so I’m a little inexperienced in this area. The first thing I noticed was that the presets are all very bright. I set up my own custom day night cycle with the intensity turned down a bit, especially the white. I have noticed algae getting worse since running these.

The tank currently has no corals and no fish. The tank is only a few months old (using very established live rock and live sand) and the fish started getting ich so I decided to go the eradication route. Im 3 weeks in to my 6 week fallow period with the water at 80 degrees.

I’m looking forward to getting the fish back into the DT to see them under these lights, then getting some corals in there.
