New tank light questions

I'm getting ready to purchase a used 40 gallon Cube tank. I wanted a couple snowflake clowns and a rbta. I'm sure this list will change but as of now that's it. I can purchase a radion xr30 pro gen 2 for about 200, or a gen 3 for about 400. To save some money for now would the 2 be ok? Or should I just go another route ? I wanted to spend around 250 for a light.

Red sea reef 90 is not a bad price$365. The radion gen 2 would be fine.
