Been out of the hobby for years and just getting back into it and want to do it right. I would like to qt inverts, corals, and fish. Would it be an issue to cycle tank and stock invertebrate and coral first then wait the 45 days then start adding fish. I know I would still have to spot feed corals and coral dip. Just was wondering if there’s anything I’m missing of why this is a bad idea or not. I know eventually I’ll want more coral and Cuc but would like to get a big chunk out of the way essentially using the display as a qt.

It wold be ok way to not worry about any fish diseases on the inverts and corals. But you would also need to be concerned that the corals or inverts don't bring in any unwanted hitchhikers (aptasia, ect)

but you also don't need to be adding inverts until there is anything in the tank for them to eat and cleanup (algae)
