Should it be left alone and is that a good thing to see in a tank that's a couple days old?
You can take it out if you want or just shorten the time your lights are on. Its just a sign that there is nitrates which means your tank is heading in the right direction

Thank you and quick question if I put my light on a timer how long should it be on each day?
I do 12 hours but my LEDs ramp up and down to simulate sunrise/sunset, but being that you dont have any corals or anything photosynthetic you can do alot less, just however long you want
