Hi everyone,

120 gallon with an internal overflow box. Will be a herbie style with 2 drains at 1.25 inches each and 1 return at 1 inch. Return pump is Jebao DCP 10000. Also can I just plumb the emergency drain straight down into anywhere in the sump? Or does it have to be in the same section as the primary drain?

Does everything sound right? New to having a sump and thanks!

Everything sounds good to me.

And yes the emergency can terminate anywhere in the sump you want. Mine is above the water line and right next to my return pump. This way when the emergency is activated, it makes a slosing sound and creates bubbles that get blown into the display from the return. This way I have a visual, and audible alert to something being wrong.

Emergency = Noise is good for an alert.

Brilliant! Just the answers I needed thanks! :)

Also, would I be correct in assuming that I won't need a gate/ball valve on the emergency drain?
