New to mushrooms

I have a few mushrooms now for about 3 months. Many have split. I have one green Rhodactis mussoides that got a little bit bigger in diameter than a beer can top. This week it shrunk to about $.25 size. Now it looks like it has split into 3 pieces. Looks like each has a mouth but they are now small so hard to tell. Is this normal?

I cut my in half down the middle when they get big. They’ll turn back into disks in a few days and be like new. They’re hardy and I’d say it’s perfectly normal.
