I’m having a problem with hydroids and at a wits end !
They are stripping my sps and stopping my zoas from opening fully.
Looking for advice to treat without having to take everything out the tank if possible?

Never dealt with hydroids unfortunately :( but I've tagged a bunch of very knowledgeable people into the thread, and hopefully one of them can chime in. The only way I know is to take the rock out and manually remove them.

Welcome to the forum :)

As far as where to post for help, we have lots of forums dedicated to specific areas of the hobby, such as fish, equipment, chemistry, etc. There's likely a forum designed just for your specific question :)

Welcome to R2R @shaun1985 !

This is the best reefing site on the web by a long way as you will find, and everyone is very friendly indeed.

If you need help just ask and the guys and gals on here will assist.

What kind of hydroids are you dealing with? Colonial? Digitate?

I have them all... :)
A form of digitate I think they are a clear hair almost with like a star on the top if that makes sense?
I really don’t want to strip my tank down and hoping there is a way of killing them off while in the mixed reef tank ?
