Hi everyone,
My name is Greg and I’m new here and new again to reef keeping. I have had reef tanks for 12-15 years, but then a uninsured drunk driver drove through my house in January of 2013 and destroyed all my tanks. I’m finally getting things back together and would really like to go reef, but a lot has changed with reef keeping in the past 7 years, to the point that I feel like a newbie again and a bit overwhelmed. I would like to stay in the 75-90 gallon range and more soft corals. I have a empty 75 gallon stand and tank and was debating between fixing this one up, buying a used one, or buying one like a cade. My budget for tank, stand, fuge, lights, pump, is around 2,000. Any input would be greatly appreciated
Thank you
Greg

Thank you. I do have a guy offering to sell a used Red Sea 250 for 1,250. Is that a good deal?Welcome to r2r! Thank you for sharing your story. Best of luck with the new tank.
As far as your questions, the waterbox and cade aquariums i've been seeing on youtube and here are really nice. I don't think you can go wrong with either.

Thank you. I have a guy willing to sell me a 70.2 water box and sump for 800, brand new. I’m tempted on that one but was really hoping for something bigger.I guess that depends on what it comes with, how old the equipment is and what condition its in.
Bulk reef has it on sale for $1500.00 and its just the tank, sump and plumbing I think

They also have the deluxe which comes with lights and i'm not sure what else for $2200.00

So I guess see what the tank comes with and compare the prices vs new. I'm not really sure about how much aquarium equipment depreciates maybe someone else can chime in.
