i don't really know how to start this off so i'm start by saying hey my name is N uatica and i just recently got into saltwater. I have been keeping freshwater for a little over 2 years and i decided to challenge myself a little bit more. right off the bat i'm going to ask what brand/type of salt mix would you guys recommend?

A salt that will fit your needs. Most will not tell you that, using salts should first start on what kind of tank you are going to run. Some salts are for tanks with a lot of corals with high consumption with high alk, Ca, Mg. Some salts are for Fish only systems with lower alk, Ca and Mg.

Knowledge share: Don’t forget to re-mix your salt mix, because it’s not just salt. Other elements in the box or tub settle at various levels. Just another factoid learned from the good people of this forum.
