Welcome to R2R!Here is a pic of his bottom and one when I moved him and put him back the way he was seemed to open up some moreThe pic is of it opened up. Which leads me to my next question. Someone said maybe he was upside down. Would the bottom inflate and go in when the lights are shut off? Like the foot and bottom of it inflate like the top does? I donāt want to try to flip it and stress it more if it stands any change of surviving at allWelcome to the hobby! I think indeed this is a Carpet anemone and not a BTA. If it is a BTA it is not looking good at allIt closed when they took it out of tank so idk. They told me it was bubbleShow us a pic when it opens up

First pic was upside down, what was shown was to foot of the nem which it can inflate as it desired. The picture you sent with the part shriveled up is the tentacule/mouth which is deflated. Try putting it on the right side to help itā¦.
In my book thatās a bubble tip nem not a carpet, foot on a carpet is shorter and even deflated it looks more like a stretch pizza dough than circular as youāve shown.
Bubble tips are also living on rocks so try putting it on a rock do it can attach itself, it will reduce stress, maybe reduce flow for the time it attaches as well! :)
